Hr defender calls for Int. intervention in Kashmir killings, no prosecution in 168 inquiries in 10 yrs

 
Srinagar, July 22: Noted human rights defender, Khurram Parvez has said that a total of 168 inquiries ordered in the territory to probe rights violations carried out by the Indian armed forces during the past 10 years have either remained incomplete or the final reports did not lead to indictment of the guilty.

Amnesty demand probe into Kashmir killings

Protest strike against new Indian Army Camp at Wuyen

Srinagar, 7 May 2013: Amid protest demonstrations, complete shutdown was observed on Tuesday in Wuyen Bala village of Pampore in South Kashmir against the establishment of another Indian Army camp in residential area.
Hundreds of people including women and students, came on roads, raised anti-Army and anti-government slogans, and demanded immediate withdrawal of Indian Army from the area.

MEP calls for probe into discovery of 'mass graves' in Kashmir

Doctors voice alarm at use of Non-Lethal weapons in Kashmir

Srinagar, April 01, 2013:  In Srinagar, Doctors has said that the use of non-lethal weapons by Indian forces and police men had increased heart and other health problems in Kashmir.
Stories are increasingly common in Kashmir where government forces use an array of ‘non-lethal’ weapons against protesters, said a doctor. Scores if not hundreds of people have been injured by weapons including marbles fired from slingshots, pellet guns and the so-called pepper grenades which are packed with chemicals and a capsaicinoid concentrate.
