 Srinagar, November 19: Indian forces personnel launched violent cordon-and-search operations in Baramulla district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.Indian Army, paramilitary and Border Security Force personnel conducted search and frisking operations in Uri and other areas of the district. Army officials said the operation was launched after detecting suspicious movement near the Line of Control in the Uri area. However, no recoveries were reported at the time of filing this report.

Collective punishment, home demolitions become routine in occupied Kashmir

 Islamabad, November 19: Collective punishment and the demolition of civilian homes have increasingly become a standard tool of repression in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as occupation forces continue to operate outside legal and judicial oversight.  In the latest incident, Indian troops on 14 November demolished the family house of Dr. Umar Nabi in Pulwama. The two-story ancestral residence was blown up with controlled IEDs during a midnight operation conducted without prior notice, trial, or any form of court authorization. The action marked yet another violation of the 2024 Indian Supreme Court ruling that requires due process before any demolition.

New Delhi, November 19: A video released by Indian media that allegedly shows a suspect involved in the recent Delhi bombings has been proven to be a complete fabrication after forensic analysis. The controversial video depicted the suspect endorsing suicide bombings. However, forensic experts have confirmed that the video was entirely created using AI technology. The suspect’s lip movements, body posture, and different segments of the video do not align, pointing to clear signs of manipulation and fabrication. 

US Commission highlights BJP-RSS nexus in promoting sectarian laws against minorities

Washington, November 19 : The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), in its latest update brief, has stated that India’s political system facilitates discrimination against religious minorities, citing ideological and organizational ties between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Watchdog Finds Times Now Navbharat, Zee News Guilty of Anti-Muslim Hate Speech

New Delhi, October 7 : Two  Indian TV channels, part of the infamous ‘Godi Media’, have been found to have violated the code of ethics. The channels like Times Now Navbharat and Zee News have been castigated for spreading anti-Muslim misinformation and hate speech.  The News Broadcasting & Digital Standards Authority (NBDSA) has  directed both channels to remove the objectionable content; it refrained from levying fines. Godi media is a term coined and popularised by veteran Indian journalist Ravish Kumar to describe biased Indian print and TV news media, which has openly supported the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government since 2014. These outlets have been accused of spreading fake news, Islamophobia, and hate speech, often aligned with BJP narratives. Critics argue that Godi media has eroded trust in the media and poses a threat to democratic integrity.

 Srinagar, August 08 : The ban on 25 books in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is “regrettable” and an attempt to warn Kashmiris against free speech, authors and scholars reacted to the order of the authorities to forfeit these publications. Civil society, academics and rights groups have condemned the ban as part of a broader strategy to silence Kashmiri voices, whitewash India’s crimes, and control the territory’s narrative through brute censorship.  Scholars have also denounced the ban as a desperate attempt to bury the truth. Banning books that narrate Kashmiris’ pain exposes Modi regime’s authoritarian mindset, they said. The occupied Jammu and Kashmir authorities have banned certain books, including those written by famous authors like Maulana Moududi, Arundhati Roy, A G Noorani, Victoria Schofield, Sumantra Bose and David Devadas.

Srinagar, August 08 : As the ongoing military  and  cordon  and search operation in Kulgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) enters its ninth consecutive day, toda, the besieged residents of Akhal village have appealed for relocation, citing severe hardships and growing fears for their safety. The cordon and search operation launched by Indian forces on Thursday has brought daily life to a standstill.

Kashmiri delegation holds protest in Geneva against Indian atrocities in IIOJK

Geneva, June 27 : A Kashmiri delegation staged a strong protest in front of the United Nations office in Geneva, denouncing India’s illegal occupation and systematic human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The protest was held on the sidelines of the 59th Session of the UN Human Rights Council and was attended by hundreds of demonstrators, including human rights activists, academics, Hurriyat leaders, and members of the Kashmiri diaspora. Holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans such as “Free Kashmir” and “Stop the systematic violence and bloodbath of innocent civilians in Kashmir”, the protestors called for urgent UN intervention to halt the atrocities and hold the Indian government accountable for war crimes and human rights abuses in Indian occupied Kashmir.
