IIOJK transporters await over Rs 200 crore due for Amarnath Yatra duty

 Srinagar, April 22 : Kashmir Transporters in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who had deployed thousands of vehicles for security purposes during the 2024 Amarnath Yatra have complained of unpaid dues amounting to over Rs 200 crore despite assurances that all payments would be made within 15 days of the yatra’s conclusion.The transporters urged the authorities to clear their long-pending payments as they were under severe financial distress.

Senior police officer thrashes tortured 11-year-old girl inside police station in Kashmir

Srinagar, 01 April 2014:  A police officer molested and thrashed a minor girl inside a police station in Uri town of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir.  An 11-year-old girl was assaulted by a senior police official in north Kashmir’s Uri town. The village head (Sarpanch) of Bijhama, Abdul Hamid, said the station house officer (SHO) of Bijhama police station Boniyar area of Uri town, a report said called a 5th standard girl student to police station in connection with a family feud. 

Minor girl gang-rapped by Indian troops in Rajouri, Kashmir

RAJOURI, Oct 12, 2013:  A 15-year-old girl was  gang-rapped by two Indian troopers and at village Pannad in Darhal area of  Rajouri district. The girl was kidnapped and taken to an isolated place where  she was disgraced.
Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), presently deployed in Srinagar another one is from Indian Reserve Police (IRP) personnel  and is presently attached with a sitting so-called MLA as PSO.

3 cops kidnapped, rape migrant girl in Reasi

REASI, Sep 13, 2013 Men in uniform kidnapped a minor girl from Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir and disgraced and raped her on September 12, 2013.

Srinagar, Mar 9: Indian police arrested hundreds of youth including Hurriyet leaders and activists and women in Kashmir. One Kashmiri Hurriyet activist Fahmeeda Sofi was arrested when she was  attending DeM chairperson Aasiya Andrabi who was recently operated at Soura hospital in Srinagar.A police party from Soura police station and Rambagh police station raided the hospital and arrested Fahmeeda. 

Protest against atrocities in Srinagar

‘889 civilians injured during 2010 mass uprising in Kashmir’

Srinagar, December 19, 2011 :   Alteast 900 Kashmiri people who were injured  in 2010 mass agitation by the paramilitary forces and police men were treated only in district hospitals Srinagar, the authorities has said in reply to a RTI petition filed in this regard.
