Exihibition – losing sight in Kashmir in the British parliament!
London; 14 July 2019: An exhibition entitled “Losing Sight in Kashmir”(on the human rights situation in India Held Kashmir) was organised by Lord Qurban Hussain and MP Kelvin Hopkins in association with Organisation of Kashmir Coalition (OKC) in the Houses of Parliament. The Exhibition is in conformity with the observations made in the UN Human Rights Commissioners’ Reports of June 2018 and July 2019 and the Amnesty International`s Report on "Losing Sight in Kashmir.”
Kashmiri students face tough time in India
Srinagar, January 29, 2012: The Kashmiri students studying in different universities and colleges of India particularly Madhya Pradesh (MP) have said that they are being forced to vacate the rented accommodations by the people of the Madhya Pradesh after the Ujjain shootout in which a Sopore student was injured.
The parents of several students studying in Madhya Pradesh told media men in Srinagar that the local residents of Indian state were asking the students to vacate the makeshift residences within no time.
Hindu extremists attack anti-AFSPA caravan in New Delhi
New Delhi, October 20 : The anti-Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) caravan was attacked by Hindu extremists as it arrived in New Delhi.
The spokesman for the caravan, Afzal Khan, told media that as they reached New Delhi, a band of Hindu extremists assaulted them, hurling abuses and thrashing the participants. “They also snatched our mike and threw tomatoes and black colour on us,” he added
Police delaying investigation: Court
Srinagar, September 27, 2011: In the Anchidora cold blooded murder case, the Court has granted bail to the police constable earlier this year who was reported one involved in the killing of three boys in Islamabad town.
Court of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Muhammad Nazir Fida, while pronouncing the judgment, held that no material evidence had come against the constable, Nissar Ahmad which would suggest his involvement in the killing of three teenagers.
Indian army man attempts to molest a school girl
Srinagar, July 25: Indian trooper of 2 Rashtriya Rifle (RR) attempted to molest a 9th standard school girl in Wanigam in Pattan area of Baramulla district. 18 year old Nusrat Akhtar, daughter of Ghulam Nabi Yatoo, a resident of Yetipora Pattan, was on way to her Wanigam High School when the trooper of company headquarters of 2 RR located at Yetipora camp attempted to molest her.
70-yr-old beggar killed by army in fake encounter
Srinagar, June 20, 2011: In Srinagar, the Human Rights Commission has asked police to submit the investigation report about the killing of a 70-year-old beggar, Habib Ullah Khan, of Diver Vilgam, Lolab who was shot dead by Indian army personnel in a fake encounter in Kupwara on April 14, 2010.
Quoting police and CID reports, Rights Commission member, Javaid Kawoosa in his judgment has held that 70-year-old beggar hailing from Vilgam, Lolab in Kupwara district was killed by Indian army men on April 14, 2010 and later labeled as a foreign militant.
550 landmine victims of Poonch district: 10-yr-old boy loses eye, hands in a landmine blast
Srinagar, June 19: Ashiq Hussain (10) who had to pay a heavy price due to the unresolved Kashmir dispute has lost both hands and an eye in a landmine blast planted by Indian army near his home in Khardi Karmara village about 6 km from Poonch near the LoC and he may go completely blind as the second eye is also seriously injured.

Dr Wani, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front's former publicity chief, was also the founder chairman of the Islamic Students League and Muslim Mutheda Mahaz.

Saturday, 18 June 2011: In Srinagar, the Human Rights Commission has indicted Indian Army for the custodial killing of a civilian and later claiming him as a militant in Handwara tehsil of the Kupwara district seventeen years ago.
In a Judgement passed on March, 7, 2011,Chairperson of the commission, Justice (Retd) M Y Kawoosa observed “Troopers of 14th Punjab Dogra Regiment took Surya Chichi for interrogation where he died in custody due to torture on 8th August, 1994.”
Teenager Umar Qayoom’s killing, 42 weeks, yet no FIR
Srinagar, June 9, 2011: Callousness can be limitless. Nearly a year after the teenager Umar Qayoom of Soura in Srinagar who was killed in custody while the police have yet to register an FIR in the case. Abdul Qayoom Bhat—father of the deceased—said police have been insisting on exhumation of his son’s body for postmortem “but they are refusing to file FIR.”
