SCARD Bank depositors held protest march in Jammu

 Jammu, April 22 : Depositors of the Jammu Kashmir State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development (SCARD) Bank staged a protest in Jammu city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Depositors of the Jammu Kashmir State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development (SCARD) Bank staged a protest, march from Jewel Chowk towards the Chief Minister’s residence in Jammu, and demanded the release of their matured fixed deposits.The protest underscores mounting frustration among depositors who say their funds have remained unpaid despite maturity, even as authorities maintain that the bank is under liquidation and all deposits are secured by a government guarantee.
 

IIOJK court declares custodial disappeared Kashmiri dead after 28 years

 April 10, 2026 Srinagar: A court in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has declared a man, who went missing in Indian army’s custody, as legally dead nearly three decades after his disappearance.

Aasiya Andrabi, 64, a scholar and teacher of Islam, a prominent resistance leader,  is a founding chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, the largest all-women socio-political and religious organization that advocates for Kashmir’s accession with Pakistan and liberation from Indian colonization. Her organization was helping widows and orphans of those martyred by the Indian state in the occupied territory since 1989.
She was born in 1961, graduated in Biochemistry from Women’s College, then completed her post-graduation in Arabic and Islamic Studies from University of Kashmir.
In 1983, she endured an Indian army raid inside her college premises in Srinagar. It was an attempt to curb growing student protests; students were dragged out of their classrooms and hostel rooms and beaten mercilessly, including female students. The treatment meted out to the students of her college by the Indian forces of occupation agitated Aasiya Andrabi. She climbed up to a pedestal and while addressing her fellow students questioned the Indian army’s high-handedness inside educational spaces. Thousands of students gathered around her, echoed her sentiments, and raised slogans in favor of liberation and Islam and against the human rights violations.

 Lucknow, March 10  : A 22-year-old Dalit youth Suraj Gautam was brutally stabbed to death  by  upper cast Hindutva Brahmin family in BJP ruled Uttar Pradesh state.  The 22-year-old, a Dalit youth  Suraj Gautam from Begariya village in Lucknow’s Dubagga area, was brutally stabbed to death by Brahmin family, during Holi celebrations.

54 communal riots, mob lynching incidents reported in Odisha

Bhubaneswar ,March 10  — Fifty-four communal riots and seven mob lynching incidents were reported in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled state  in last 20 months. Fifty-four communal riots and seven mob lynching incidents were reported in Odisha between June 2024 and February 2026, as per a written statement by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the Assembly.

Indian police arrest several Kashmiri Nursing Students in Rajasthan

 Srinagar,  March 10 : Indian police arrested several Kashmiri students  in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled state Rajasthan. Seventeen Kashmiri BSc Nursing students were detained by Indian police at Mewar University in Chittorgarh  after they staged a protest at the university gates, with authorities responding in force following reports that one student had attempted suicide. 

Four Muslims killed by Hindutva in Hate Crimes across India

Hindutva group kills Muslim youth in Rajasthan

Jaipur, March 04: A 28-year-old Muslim youth, Aamir, was killed by a Hindutva group in BJP-ruled Rajasthan. The victim's family claims Bajrang Dal members intercepted and shot Aamir in Bhiwadi, Alwar district, suspecting cow smuggling. 

 
Tensions are high in the district, with additional police forces deployed to prevent escalation. This
