Srinagar, August 10 , 2020: The three youth, martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Shopian, have been identified as the Kashmiri labourers of Rajouri district in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The youth identified as Abrar Gujar, Imtiyaz Gujar and Abrar Khan were killed by Indian Army’s 62 Rashtriya Rifles during a cordon and search operation at Keller Amshipora in Shopian district on July 18, 2020. Two of the victims were working locally as masons, said a student from a nearby village and had worked in the locality for many years. The Indian troops during the operation claimed they were “militants”.

Srinagar, August 08 , 2020:Renowned Kashmiri journalist, Yousuf Jameel, in an article wrote that while people from all walks of life have been facing severe difficulties after the repeal of Kashmir’s special status by Narendra Modi government on August 5, last year, the journalists are also facing hurdles in performing their professional duties. He maintained that several journalists, who opposed the Indian government's measures, were charged with sedition and some are still imprisoned. The people from all walks of life in Indian illegally occupied Kashmir have been facing severe difficulties after the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government of Bharatiya Janata Party illegally repealed Kashmir’s special status on August 5, last year and imposed a military siege, the journalists are also facing hurdles in performing their professional duties.
Srinagar, July 20, 2020: Indian troops ruthlessly beat up a B.Sc graduate and a civil service aspirant in Pulwama district.The Indian forces during cordon and search operation dragged and brutally assaulted Waseem Ahmed in Kakapora area of the district, the family members told media men.
“We don’t know why he was beaten up. Our pleas and hand folded requests before Indian forces personnel went all in vain as they continued to hit him in front of us,” the family said. Waseem is a B.Sc graduate and a civil service aspirant who according to his family, recently made it to the IAS coaching that was started with the help of District Development Commissioner Pulwama.
July 18 , 2020: Journalists held a demonstration in KunzarTangmarg area of Baramulla district against an assault on a photojournalist by a government official. The journalist, Sajad Hameed, who works as a photojournalist with Kashmir Times, said that he was performing his professional duty and covering a protest by locals against Public Health Engineering (PHE) department when the Tehsildar pushed him multiple times and ask him to close his camera. Sajad Hameed said that despite introducing himself as a journalist to the Tehsildar, he was verbally abused, insulted and pushed.
