Two people injured in an indiscriminate fire during CASO in Pulwama, one shopkeeper killed another injured in seperate incidents

Srinagar, November 5, 2020: Indian forces launched  All out cordon and search operation in Pampore in Pulwama district in IIOJK, media reports said ,During CASO two persons as per reports are being injured in an indiscriminate fire of forces. Search operation in the area is going on. Unknown gunmen on Thursday shot dead a shopkeeper in Tral Pulwama district and injured another one in Kakapora Pulwama, Indian police officials claimed.  Reportedly unknown gunmen on Thursday evening shot dead a man (Shopkeeper by profession) namely Mohammad Ayoub Ahangar, son of Ghulam Ahmad Ahangar in Tral township of Pulwama district of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. 
 

Woman found hanging, two killed in mishap,Girl kidnapped during marriage function in Kulgam

Srinagar, November 04, 2020: A woman was found hanging in her house at Chatha in Jammu on Tuesday in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir .As per details, Rajni Devi, wife of Kuldeep Raj, resident of Barjala was found hanging in her room. She was shifted to hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead. Later, her maternal parents staged a protest against her in-laws. Police is investigating the matter.

Four youth missing in south Kashmir

IIOJK Srinagar Nov 03, 2020: Four More youth from South Kashmir districts of Pulwama and Shopian have gone missing since the past week. Sources told media that Umer Khanday son of Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, who is a resident of Tulbagh Pampore Pulwama, Amir Ahmed Mailk son of Abdul Gaffar Mailk from Hadergund Zainapora Shopian, Shahnawaz Ahmad from Sambora Pulwama & Umer Malik From Sugan Shopain are being missing since last week of October this year from their houses. The 16-year-old Umer Mushtaq, who was studying in class 11th went missing from his home in the last week of October, Locals from Tulbagh told to media men. 

21-Year-old girl battles for life after being sexually assaulted in Kulgam

IIOJKSrinagar Nov 03, 2020:  A girl was sexually assaulted after being kidnapped in the Akhal area of Devsar in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on the 31st of October (Saturday). Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the girl (Name withheld), who is a resident of the Pooniwah area in Kulgam had gone to attend a wedding in the area when she was abducted by a group of youth and allegedly assaulted her after that. The youth after assaulting the girl sexually tried to kill her, as per Locals. She was later recovered by a group of locals from the site and rushed to a local hospital in an unconscious condition. The doctors referred her to a Srinagar condition, where she is said to be in a critical condition.

Police personnel used force on protest march of daily-rated workers in Srinagar

Indian troops launch CASO , arrested two youth in Sopore

Srinagar, October 22,2020: The Indian troops  during a cordon and search operation (CASO) arrested two youth in Sopore town today.The  youth were arrested after Indian Army's 22 Rashtriya Rifles launched operation  inTujjer  area of  Sopore in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Woman, her paramour strangulate husband to death in Bandipora: Police

Srinagar, October 22, 2020 :Police on Thursday cracked a murder case in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district wherein a woman in connivance with her extramarital partner hanged her husband and passed it as a suicide. 
 

SAWM seeks immediate reopening of Kashmir Times Office

SRINAGAR, Oct 21, 2020: South Asian Women in Media (SAWM) has condemned the sealing of Kashmir Times office in Srinagar by the Jammu and Kashmir administration. According to the statement, The Kashmir Times, edited by SAWM member Anuradha Bhasin, was functioning – like all other regional and national newspapers in J&K — from a government accommodation allotted to it in 1993-94 in Srinagar’s Press Enclave. SAWM condemns efforts to silence the media or put pressure on it in one or another manner.
