Sukma,March 21: Three Indian paramilitary troops were injured in an attack in Indian disturbed state Chhattisgarh state. The three Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force personnel identified as Hemant Chowdhary, Basappa Ramesh, and Lalit Bhag were injured when the Communist Party of India (Maoist) members attacked them near Elmagunda camp in Sukma district of the state on Monday morning.
Srinagar, March 17 : Indian police arrested over a dozen youth in Srinagar, in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Indian police during house raids arrested over a dozen youth at Nowgam area of Srinagar. The arrested youth were involved in protest against the killing of three youth martyred by Indian troops yesterday during cordon and search operation in the area, the police FIR claimed.The police registered FIR on them in Police Station Nowgam.

The women activists said the contentious verdict has far reaching consequences on the community which failed to address their fundamental right to religious freedom as well as it did not make mention of the stalking, harassment, and assault against Muslim women perpetrated by ultra Hindutva vigilante groups and members of the college administration since the interim order was issued. Activists also underlined that the verdict creates a false equivalence between the saffron shawl and the wearing of the hijab, giving the crowd more power to harass Muslim women. They held a press conference at the Press Club of India to put across their concerns after the verdict saying Muslim women are likely to experience increasing prejudice in public areas after the court ruling.

Srinagar, March 16 : Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more youth in Srinagar district, today. The youth were martyred by the Indian army’s Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force during a cordon and search operation in Nowgam area of the district. Railway authorities told media that the train services have also been suspended from Banihal to Baramulla.

New Delhi ,March 14 : A fact finding committee (FFC) of the Press Council of India (PCI) has found that the “news media in the Jammu & Kashmir and especially in the Kashmir Valley is slowly being choked mainly because of the extensive curbs imposed by the local administration”. The FFC was set up in September 2021 by then PCI chairman Justice (retd) C K Prasad to look at the state of the media in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir after PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti wrote to the Council. “There is a long list of journalists who have been individually harassed. The object is to create a fear and intimidation to fall in with the government line,” the FFC committee has said in its report that was submitted last week.
