Pakistan strongly condemns arbitrary arrest and illegal detention of Islamic scholars in IIOJK

Islamabad,18 September: Pakistan strongly condemns the arbitrary arrests and illegal detention of prominent Islamic scholars, including Maulana Abdul Rasheed Dawoodi, Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri and five members of Jamaat-e-Islami, in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office of the Spokesperson in a press statment said, these deplorable actions only days ahead of the UN General Assembly session manifest India’s growing intransigence, and utter disregard of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Vehicle Damaged in Mysterious Explosion outside DDC Member’s House In Poonch

Jammu, September 16 : A mysterious explosion took place outside the house of a District Development Council member in Poonch district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The explosion took place outside the house of DDC member Sohail Malik in which a vecicle of the member was damaged in Surankote area of the district.

46 accidents claim 22 lives in Mandi Poonch in past two years

Mandi (Poonch),15 Sep, 2022: The dilapidated condition of roads, worn-out passenger vehicles, and administrative apathy towards violation of rules have claimed 22 lives in 46 accidents in Mandi tehsil of Poonch district in the past two years in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The locals said that the administration has failed to put in place any preventive strategy to check the loss of lives in road accidents in this treacherous area of the Poonch district.

The incident took place on the night of September 10, 2022. A Ganesh idol immersion procession stopped at a Muslim locality, playing loud music with provocative  and anti Muslim songs which triggered violence.

Muslim-led Parties to Muster Support against Madrassas Survey in India

 Lucknow, September 15, 2022: Political parties led by Muslims in Indian state Uttar Pradesh will now launch a campaign and mobilise people to oppose a survey of madrassas. The parties that are a part of this initiative include the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Peace Party and Rashtriya Ulama Council.

Joint Director Tabassum Khan Suspended for Order on Urdu Signboards at Hospitals in UP

 Lucknow, September 15: The BJP government in Indian state Uttar Pradesh has suspended the Joint Director (Health), who had issued an order directing all the Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) to ensure that signboards/nameplates at all health facilities in the state, were written in Urdu as well. 
A senior Health Department officer confirmed that Joint Director (Health), Tabassum Khan had been suspended.
