Indian state UP Madrassa Board Objects to Day-to-day ‘Interference’ by Officers of Education Department

 Lucknow, November 4, 2022:  In Indian state Uttar Pradesh Madrassa Education Board has expressed its reservation to the interference of officers of the education department in the day-to-day working of madrassas in the state ruled by BJP-RSS  , which has led to a situation of discomfort in these institutions.

 New Delhi, Nov 04 : Raising its voice against Bharatiya Janata Party’s hate hilled propaganda against minorities particularly Muslims in India, their eviction from homes and demolition of madrassas, All BTC Minority Students’ Union (ABMSU), staged  a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.  A group of 400 protesters, raised slogans against Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Indian state of Assam, for his anti Muslim policies.

NEW DELHI , November 3, 2022: The People’s Union for Civil LIberties (PUCL)has  condemned the raids on the residences and office of senior editors of the news portal The Wire, in New Delhi and Mumbai and manhandling of a lawyer, Shadan Farasat and other staff members of The Wire.

Muslim Youth Beaten to Death in Muzaffarpur Indian state Bihar

Muzaffarpur, November 3: A Muslim youth was beaten to death at Chhat Ghat in Mahartha village of the  Indian state Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district on Sunday.

New Delhi, November 2, 2022: The Malayalam news channel MediaOne, whose broadcast license was not renewed by the Modi government in January of this year what they claim due to security concerns while theMalayalam news channel MediaOne, has never broken the Programmed Code, senior lawyer Dushyant Dave testified before the Indian Supreme Court on Wednesday. Dave, who represents Media One, stated that the Ministry’s submission of sealed files to the Court is highly unacceptable as it causes the opposing party to feel prejudiced while purportedly acting in the interest of national security.

CPJ urges India to stop harassing employees of The Wire

 New York, November 02 : The New York-based media watchdog, Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has urged the Indian authorities to stop harassing employees of the Indian news website, The Wire, and let them work freely. The CPJ in a statement posted on its website said, on Monday, officials with the Delhi police crime branch searched the New Delhi office of The Wire and the residences of editors Siddharth Vardarajan, M.K. Venu, Siddharth Bhatia, and Jahanavi Sen, and seized their electronic devices, according to various news reports and Vardarajan, who spoke to CPJ over phone.

Twitter bans over 54000 accounts in India

 New Delhi, November 02 : More than 52,141 Twitter accounts were banned in India between August 26 and September 25 this year for promoting child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity, and other political and social reasons.
