Srinagar, Jan 10 : Indian police arrested over 50 people in Rajouri district In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Indian troops , paramilitary along with Indian investigation agency during continued house raids arrested over 50 people mostly Muslims including women from different parts of the district in connection with the investigation of the killing of five Hindus last week in Dhangri village of Rajouri district.
Over 50 people have been detained so far in connection with the investigation of the case, a police officer said.
“More than fifty people from different parts of the district have been detained so far and their questioning is going on,” he said.

The puppet regime attached the property of jailed Usman Gulzar Wani son of Gulzar Ahmad in Nagabal area of the district.
He was arrested by Indian troops during cordon and search operation on August , 2022 and is lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.
Security heightened in Jammu region ahead of Indian Republic Day
Jammu, , Jan 10 : Indian authorities have been tightened soc-called security across the Jammu ahead of Indian Republic Day official celebrations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, .
The security arrangements have been strengthened by Indian troops, Border Security Force, paramilitary and Village Defense Guards in the all district areas along the LOC and night patrolling has been intensified in Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Samba and Kishtwar districts.
Even as Samba district has imposed night curfew for two months due to dense fog to ensure proper security, the officials said that they have also increased checking and patrolling in Jammu and Kathua districtr areas. The Indian troops and their agencies have held a series of meetings with the VDGs and others to ensure peace.
SOURA HOSPITAL REGISTERS 27,727 CANCER PATIENTS IN SRINAGAR IIOJK
Srinagar, Jan 10 : The Institute of Medical Sciences Soura in Srinagar have registered over 27,000 patients ailing with cancer disease.
Besides, the institute has witnessed 1833 deaths due to different types of cancer in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
During last six years period, the institute has also issued 64,504 Out Patient Department (OPD) cards issued by the department of Nephrology.
The official figures of hospital reveals that from October-2016 to October-2022, the institute has registered 27,727.
The Public Information Officer (PIO) in a reply to Right to Information (RTI) said, “Total number of OPD cards issued under the Nephrology Department from October-2016 to October-2022 are 64504 and cancer patients registered are 27727.”
“From October-2016 to October-2022, a total number of 17,579 deaths have been registered,” PIO said.
It also said that under medical Oncology, radiotherapy, Clinical Hematology and Surgical Oncology during these six years are 1833 while under the Nephrology department at least 1145 deaths were recorded.
The PIO also said that 1745 accidental deaths were also recorded by the institute during this period.
About the total number of patients admitted and treated in State Cancer Institute since its establishment from December-05-2020 to October-2022 includes, the officer said that at least 2473 patients were admitted and treated while 659 deaths were also recorded.
On asking about the proposal submitted to the government for a separate kidney hospital, the PIO said, “Any kind of proposal for a separate kidney hospital will be dealt with by the administration.”
