JKCCS urges blacklisting of abuser Indian armed personnel

Srinagar, March 21: Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS) has urged the foreign governments and international institutions to blacklist the Indian army personnel and police involved in human rights violations in Kashmir.
“The Indian State has ensured absolute impunity for human rights violations by armed forces and police in Kashmir. In the case of a Superintendent of Police, the authorities continue this protection as he is yet to be prosecuted. But, sustained pressure has at least ensured that the SP will not enjoy another reward from the regime in the form of a UN deputation,” a spokesman for JKCCCS said in a statement.
“This forms a part of the ongoing campaign to expose the Indian State, its institutions, and its criminality. The campaign urges foreign governments and international institutions to blacklist and take action against any personnel of the armed forces or police responsible for human rights violations in Kashmir. The action sought ranges from denial of visas, to prosecutions against such perpetrators if and when they step on foreign soil,” it added.
