Srinagar, April 27: Indian troops launched cordon and search operation in Pulwama district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army’s Rashtirya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force launched cordon and search operation in Mitrigam area of the district on Wednesday, officials said.
The troops also fired upon some youth during operation which was retaliated triggering a clash. One Indian trooper was injured in the clash.
Meanwhile, two civilians sustained injuries in an accidental fire in Shopian district on Wednesday, officials said. News agency KNO quoting officials reported that two persons suffered injuries after 12 bore rifle of J&K Bank guard went-off accidentally at J&K Main Branch Shopian. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment while their identity is being ascertained, officials said.
Body of a 16-year-old boy was found dead in Bandipora district. The body of Umer Farooq Mir (16), was spotted by locals near water canal in Kuloosa locality of the district.A police official said that a case has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
Meanwhile, a woman Kulsuma Bano (31) drowned to death in Nallah Sindh after she fell off bridge at Rayil Gund area of Ganderbal district . Locals of the area rushed to the site and retrieved the women and took her to hospital, where the doctors declared her as brought dead on arrival. KMS-R
