Cordon &Search Operations Continues In Rajouri, Kishtwar, Reasi Districts

Jammu, January 04 : Indian troops and paramilitary forces continued cordon and search massive operations  in Rajouri, Kishtwar and Reasi districts in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The searches were launched after the killing of four persons two days ago in Rajouri , a senior Police officer said.The searches across in Kishtwar town, bus stand, and market places conducted surprise checks of the people and their electronic gadgets.

The searches also continued  by Indian army, paramilitary forces, Police and Village Defence Committee  personnel in different areas of Rajouri and Reasi districts .
Meanwhile, the authorities have imposed night curfew from 9 pm to 6 am in a strip of 1 km from the  Border in Samba district .
on Jan 02, 2023 At least four civilians were killed and six were injured after unidentified armed men, in indiscriminately opened fire at Upper Dangri village in J&K’s Rajouri district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Deepak Kumar (23), Satish Kumar (45), Pritam Lal (56) and Shiv Pal (32).
Those injured were identified as Pawan Kumar (38), Rohit Pandit (35), Saroj Bala (35), Sushil Kumar (40), Shub Sharma (20) and Urvashi Sharma (17).
According to eyewitnesses, some people carrying guns arrived in a car and opened fire before fleeing from the spot.“Around nine to 10 people were injured in the firing. Out of them, three were declared dead at the hospital. Others have suffered multiple injuries. Two of them are currently in the operation theatre,” a local resident said, seeking anonymity.
Meanwhile, two children were killed, and five other civilians wounded in a IED blast in Dhangri village in the southern Rajouri district. A 5-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl died in the blast. The injured were being treated at a hospital.
Hundreds of people assembled in Dhangri to protest the killings, chanting slogans against the Modi regime and its authorities.
