Srinagar, Jan 29 , 2026: The Kashmiri teenager (16-year-old ) shawl seller was brutally attacked by Hindutva Hindus in Uttarakhand state.The 16-year-old Kashmiri had traveled from occupied Kashmir to earn a livelihood through honest means in India was assaulted a group of Hindus without provocation , leaving him with serious injuries that required 15 stitches. The teenager sustained head injuries and a fractured arm in an communal attack in Vikas Nagar, Uttarakhand.He was rushed to hospital and is now in stable condition.
The boy was beaten mercilessly, struck with iron rods and punched repeatedly. Other family members were also dragged, slapped and attacked, the association reports said.
The victim was initially taken to a local hospital and later referred to Doon Hospital in Dehradun due to the severity of his injuries. Blood was reportedly oozing from his head following the assault, and multiple bruises were visible on his body.
The incident has sparked widespread concern and outrage, raising urgent questions about the safety of Kashmiri traders and migrant minors working outside their home state
Earlier last month Dec 26, 2025, a 28-year-old Kashmiri shawl seller Bilal Ahmed Ganie, a resident of Kupwara was assaulted by a Hindutva Hindu group n Kashipur, Udham Singh Nagar district in Uttarakhand; forced to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.
