Unidentified gunmen killed a civilian in Sopore

Sopore,  July 24, 2011 : A civilian was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Sopore.  Unidentified gunmen appeared in Kralteng areas of Sopore around 9 pm and opened at least five rounds from point blank range on a man identified as Mohsin Ahmad Wani, 35, son of Manzoor Wani of Jalalabad, Sopore. He was shot in the head, abdomen and shoulder by the assailants suffered serious injuries in the attack. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The slain is said to be a shopkeeper. After the attack, the gunmen fled from the spot. Mohsin was a married person having kids

Reports said he was moving outside his rented accommodation along river Jhelum side when some unidentified gun men reached there. They fired five bullets on Mohsin and he died on the spot.

Wani, originally resident of Jalalabad Sopore was working in Fruit Mandi, Sopore. He was living at Kral Teng on rent. Police have registered a case and are investigating the case.
